The Myth Project was a collaborative site-specific work that mixed elements of circus, theater, dance, vaudeville, puppetry and music. It was performed at the (former) Naval Training Center in Point Loma, CA. We were exploring myths of the warrior and military training. After a few venue changes and some face to face time with the developer we were able to do the piece at the actual building where recruits used to do their physical training during bootcamp.
Since I first met Rebecca Bryant, Iain Gunn and Bridget Rountree I wanted to collaborate and perform with them. This project with the important collaborative support of Pat Rincon and Sushi made that possible.
